About midway between the end of the runway and the mountain on the right, off in the distance, is the base. Can just barely make out the radar and GPS site on the low rise next to the ocean.

I believe Green Mountain is the highest point on the island. Most of the time the top is not visable because of the clouds.

Looking out towards the ocean. It doesn't look like we are up very far, but that is one heck of a drop off on the other side of the railing.

On top of Telemetry Hill

Close to the far end of the runway. You won't believe how close the wing tips of the planes get to the side of the hill! It's neat to stand up here and look down on an aircraft taking off after it is airborne and climbing.

Wind generators

The weak at heart stop and push the button before going up the hill. It turns on a warning (stop) light at the top so no one will start down until you get up there. It's not the road to be on and meet traffic if you don't have the stomach for it! There is another button at the top to stop traffic from coming up when you head down. After a few trips you get used to it and don't bother with the warning system anymore!
